On the Semey–Ust-Kamenogorsk highway, a frightened mother approached patrol officers. It turned out that her five-year-old son was bleeding profusely from a deep cut on his leg. The officers' quick response helped save the child's life. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
The mother said that her five-year-old son, who lives in the village of Granitny in the Zhanasemey district, was playing in the yard and tried to climb onto the front door. At that moment, the glass in the door shattered and severely cut the child's leg.
Without wasting a minute, patrol officers Yelaman Masalimov and Medet Smagulov moved the mother and child into their car and rushed to the hospital.
The situation was complicated by the fact that the child's bleeding would not stop.
The patrol officers turned on their special signals and delivered the victim to the hospital in just 12 minutes. In the emergency room, doctors met the officer holding the boy in his arms. The child was immediately taken into surgery.
"My child's leg would not stop bleeding, and I was very scared. I didn't know what to do, and when I saw police officers on the road, I asked them for help. They immediately put us in their car and got us to the hospital in just 12 minutes. For me, that was enormous help at that moment. I sincerely thank the police officers," the mother of the injured child said.
