In the Makanchi district of the Abai region, a 9-year-old child did not return home after school. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The student came home after school, hid in an outbuilding in the yard, and fell asleep there. The mother, finding a note saying "mom, dad, don't look for me, I'll come back in a day," immediately called the police.
When law enforcement arrived, the boy woke up from the sound of the siren and came out of hiding himself. He explained to his parents that he wanted to play a "prank." The police found the student within 10 minutes.
This incident drew the attention of parents and teachers, raising questions about child safety. However, the positive outcome and the fact that it was a joke eased the situation.
