Police in the Abai region searched courtyards, streets and the banks of reservoirs for a seven-year-old boy. The child was found alive in an agricultural field four kilometers from Urzhar, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The boy left the yard during the day while under the care of his grandparents. At first, relatives tried to find him on their own, then turned to the police. The grandmother said her grandson has developmental disabilities and asked for help as soon as possible.
"At around 16:00, police captain Azamat Duisebayev and senior police lieutenant Rolan Baitleuov found the boy in an agricultural field four kilometers from Urzhar," police said.
The child's relatives were immediately informed that he had been found.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in May, a seven-year-old boy with autism was found in the Abai region two kilometers from a settlement. In July, in the Pavlodar region, a nine-year-old child walked alone about seven kilometers to a highway, where patrol officers noticed him. And in August, in the Ayusai gorge near Almaty, a boy was found after being searched for more than a day.
However, searches for children do not always end well. In October, in Kokshetau, a missing four-year-old boy was found dead in a water-filled pit at a neighboring construction site. Police opened a criminal case.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that if a child disappears, one must immediately call 102. It is necessary to report his distinguishing features, the place of disappearance and behavioral characteristics that could help in the search.
