Police in the Abai region identified and removed 114 graffiti inscriptions from the territory of settlements within one week. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional police, 60 of these inscriptions promoted narcotic substances. This was stated in the department's message.
The department noted that such inscriptions on the walls and external surfaces of buildings not only negatively affect the city's appearance but can also have a negative impact on the public environment.
It is especially important to prevent the spread of inscriptions that disseminate information about drugs and promote internet resources related to their illegal sale.
Along with removing the identified inscriptions, police officers are establishing the reasons for their appearance and working to hold accountable those who violated legal requirements.
Police also urged citizens not to remain indifferent and to report to law enforcement agencies if they notice suspicious inscriptions in public places.
