At the Balkhash Tour Fest – 2026 festival in Balkhash, chefs created a true gastronomic masterpiece — a kazyburger weighing 86.4 kilograms. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the press service of the Karaganda Region Akimat, the dish was officially recorded by a representative of the Kazakhstan Book of Records.
The record burger stood 39 centimeters tall and had a diameter of 89 centimeters. Its preparation involved an assortment of meats — chicken, beef, and kazy — as well as tomatoes, herbs, and sauce.
Festival guests gathered around the site, watching the creation of the giant and filming the event.
"After the record is fixed, the kazyburger will be divided into portions and distributed to Balkhash charitable foundations," the akimat promised.
The large-scale Balkhash Tour Fest – 2026 festival on its first day gathered about 35,000 guests from 11 countries on the Balkhash shore: Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, India, and others.
The entertainment program included jenga, yarkcross, mas-wrestling, beach volleyball, and an interactive artificial intelligence zone where visitors could play against a robot goalkeeper.
For youth from Kazakhstan, Turkey, India, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, an International Volunteer Forum was held.
They cleaned up trash along the lake shore as part of the "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign and presented residents with a sculpture of a Turanian tiger — a symbol of the Balkhash region. Guests also enjoyed a show featuring 500 drones.
Earlier, Kursiv reported how an Emergency Situations Ministry employee set a new Kazakhstan record by pulling a 165-ton railcar.
