Storm warnings issued for November 8 across all regions of Kazakhstan

Storm warnings for November 8 have been announced in Astana, Almaty and all 17 regions of Kazakhstan, Kazhydromet reported. Rain, snow, ice and fog are expected in the regions, with wind gusts reaching 30 m/s and more in some areas. High and extreme fire danger persists in a number of regions. Astana

In Astana, rain is forecast during the day, sometimes heavy, and wind gusts up to 15 m/s. Fog is expected at night and in the morning.

Akmola Region

In Akmola Region, rain and snow will fall during the day, with heavy precipitation at times in the west, north and south. Ice is possible. Fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the south and east, with wind gusts reaching 15-20 m/s in these areas during the day. In Kokshetau, rain and snow are expected during the day, sometimes heavy precipitation.

Almaty

High fire danger persists in Almaty. In the Ile Alatau mountains, in the mountainous zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts, fog is expected at night and in the morning, with wind gusts of 15-20 m/s at times.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that from November 7 to 9, several cyclones will pass through Kazakhstan, bringing rain, snow, strong wind and fog. In the west, temperatures will drop to -8 degrees at night, while in the south the air will warm up to +27 degrees during the day.
