Kazakh director Kuanysh Beisek and Tartaria Films studio have presented the trailer for their new film project titled '7 Karakshy'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The events of the film take place in the late 1970s. At the center of the plot is a group of seven Kazakh criminals with unique abilities who oppose the Soviet regime. They unite to carry out a secret mission to stop the testing of the most powerful nuclear bomb at the Semipalatinsk test site, which threatens all of humanity.
Judging by the trailer footage, the film promises to be rich not only in action but also in visual references. Users online are actively discussing numerous allusions to Kazakh culture and history. The video features homages to the band 'Dos-Mukasan', director Shaken Aimanov, Dinmukhamed Kunaev, legendary dombra player Dina Nurpeisova, the film 'Angel in a Skullcap', the famous painting 'Turksib' by Abylkhan Kasteev, and so on.
