On October 5, educational institutions celebrate World Teachers' Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This day is a great holiday for every citizen who received knowledge within school walls. The significant date was approved by UNESCO in 1994. This day is very dear to both schoolchildren and adults who graduated from school. After all, in every person's life there is a beloved and dear teacher who left an indelible mark. World Teachers' Day is celebrated by more than 100 countries around the world.
Today, World Habitat Day is celebrated. The holiday was established in 1979 within the framework of the Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats. This day is dedicated to protecting places inhabited by species other than humans. However, the number of such places is decreasing due to the expansion of human activity in all spheres. According to the World Conservation Union, over the past 500 years, 844 species of animals and plants have disappeared completely. This trend, unfortunately, continues.
Today, CIS countries celebrate Criminal Investigation Officers' Day.
