A man in Poland has been arrested for harassing people with fake food orders. In one case, he ordered 300 pizzas at once, and the cost of another delivery exceeded 37,000 zlotys, or about 4.6 million tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the investigation, the man placed orders with cash on delivery to other people's addresses. He listed the names of well-known politicians and media representatives as recipients.
In the comments to the orders, the suspect left personal information about the victims and threats. In particular, he mentioned kidnapping a child, setting fire to a notary office, and staging a traffic accident.
Most deliveries were sent to Szczecin, but similar cases were also recorded in Wroclaw, Krakow, and Warsaw. Some orders could not be fulfilled by restaurants due to their scale. One such case was an order for 300 pizzas.
"The descriptions of the orders contained information that could only be known to the victims themselves or their close ones," police said.
The suspect was detained at his place of residence. During a search, police seized electronic devices and data storage that could have been used to place orders.
The court sent the man to custody for two months. He faces up to eight years in prison on the charges brought against him.
