July 29 is celebrated as International Tiger Day worldwide. This day was established in 2010 at the international forum "Tiger Summit" in St. Petersburg, dedicated to preserving the predator's population. The initiative was supported by 13 tiger-range countries. During the forum, a program to restore the tiger population was developed, as the number of predators has decreased 25-fold over the last hundred years.
