On July 27, several holidays and historical events are observed in the world and Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
World Holidays
Today is the Day of Remembrance for those who died for Vietnam's independence. On this day, workers, military personnel, and youth in Vietnam engage in mass beautification of military cemeteries. In 1964-1965, US armed forces invaded Vietnam, starting a war. This military conflict is considered the second largest after World War II. The brutal war claimed the lives of 100,000 Vietnamese, and many soldiers were left disabled.
Today is National Dance Day in the USA. The holiday was founded by Nigel Lythgoe, producer of the American show So You Think You Can Dance.
Also today is the Birthday of the Hamburger. Although this dish is German, the hamburger is considered the "king" of fast food in the USA.
