Heavy Precipitation and Storm
According to forecasters, heavy precipitation is expected in the east and southeast of the country, with hail and squalls possible in some areas. Storm warnings have been issued in most regions.
In mountainous areas, precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected at night. Wind will strengthen across the country, and fog is forecast in the north and east at night and in the morning.
Heat
In Mangystau region, daytime temperatures will rise to +38…+39 degrees, and in the south of Kostanay region — to +35 degrees.

Zhetysu Region
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the east and mountainous areas, with fog in the mountains at night and in the morning. Gusts of northeast wind may reach 23–28 m/s.
Aktobe Region
During the day, gusts of northwest wind will be 15–20 m/s. Rain and thunderstorms are expected at night in the north, and during the day in the west, north, and south of the region.
Kostanay Region
During the day, rain and thunderstorms are also forecast in the west and north, with wind strengthening to 15–20 m/s. Fog is possible in the north at night and in the morning.
East Kazakhstan Region
Rain and thunderstorms are expected, with heavy rain, hail, and squalls in some places in the north and east. Wind gusts will reach 15–20 m/s.
Almaty Region
In mountainous areas, rain, snow, and fog are expected at night. Gusts of north and northeast wind may reach 18 m/s.
The same weather is forecast in the mountains of Ile Alatau, including the mountain zones of Medeu and Bostandyk districts of Almaty.
Fire Danger
High and extreme fire danger persists in several regions.
Extreme fire danger is forecast in Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe regions, Ulytau region, as well as in some areas of Zhetysu, Abai, Almaty, Kostanay, Mangystau, and Karaganda regions.
At the same time, intense heat up to +38…+39 degrees is expected in Mangystau region.
Flood Risk
Due to the forecast of very heavy rains until August 27, the formation of slope runoff and a rise in water levels in rivers are expected in the mountainous and foothill areas of East Kazakhstan region.
Kazhydromet recommends that residents and tourists in mountainous areas take weather conditions into account and exercise caution.
Earlier, forecasters had already warned Kazakhstani citizens about rain with hail and a cold snap down to +8 degrees.
