American comic book fans (and not only they) celebrate this holiday every year. Graphic stories have long existed in culture, a clear example being rock paintings.

The series "The Travels of Doctor Syntax in Search of the Picturesque" is considered the first example of true graphic prose. In 1892, the first American comic by artist Richard Outcault, "The Brownies and the Tiger," was published. The genre gained huge popularity in the New World, and comics became an integral part of US mass culture.

Today comic book fans exist all over the world. They unite in communities and organize themed events. For some, comics are a whole separate world that allows you to feel like a hero. On September 25, comic book stores advise not to throw away old editions. After a few years, they may become rare valuable works and increase in value.

Another unusual holiday is Tick Tock Day. In earlier times, humanity estimated time by the sun and sand, but modern life is impossible to imagine without a clock hand. It is no coincidence that this holiday is celebrated in autumn, precisely at this time a person immerses in philosophical thoughts about life and realizes the value of time.
