July 24 is celebrated as Florist Day. Floristry can be considered one of the most wonderful and romantic professions. Spending your working hours among colorful plants, enjoying the fragrance every second – what could be better? Royal lilies, regal roses, modest violets, delicate tulips, or fluffy asters – how many opportunities nature's wealth opens for florists to work! They work not only with fresh flowers. Dried plants, interesting accessories, natural materials, fabrics, and costume jewelry are also used in compositions, flowers, and bouquets. All this, in the hands of a master, combines to create eye-catching floral masterpieces. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In Russia, today is Cadastral Engineer Day – a holiday for specialists who can combine several professions. A cadastral engineer, performing technical inventory and drawing up technical plans for real estate objects, determining land boundaries and preparing boundary plans, can simultaneously be a lawyer, surveyor, land manager, and appraiser. Performers of cadastral work got the opportunity to celebrate their professional holiday in 2008, when the non-profit partnership self-regulatory organization "Cadastral Engineers" initiated the establishment of Cadastral Engineer Day in Russia. The date was chosen due to the adoption of the law "On the State Real Estate Cadastre" on July 24, 2007.

Also today is the birthday of instant coffee. Instant coffee is believed to have appeared on July 24, 1938. It was on this day that the famous Swiss chemist Max Morgenthaler presented this invention to the public. Experts did not like the taste, and before World War II, the novelty was not in demand among consumers. During the war, American soldiers in the trenches first appreciated the drink: they found that this coffee was easy to prepare and had invigorating properties. Returning to civilian life, the military could not imagine their lives without instant coffee. Instant coffee is made from an infusion of bitter natural coffee. First, the liquid is filtered, then in chambers with inert gases it is turned into powder. The result is a light brown powder – this is coffee. Sugar, milk, or cream can be added to taste. Some add lemon or cognac.
