Storm warnings were issued for September 22 in 15 regions of Kazakhstan, as well as in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent. Fog, rain, thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 20 m/s are expected in the regions. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Astana
A high fire danger will persist in Astana.
Almaty region and Almaty city
In the southeast and mountainous areas of the Almaty region, gusts of north and northeast wind will at times reach 15-20 m/s. An extreme fire danger will persist across the region and in Konaev. A high fire danger is expected in Almaty, and at night in the city's mountainous areas the wind will intensify to 18 m/s.
Turkestan region
In the mountainous areas of the Turkestan region, the northeast wind will intensify to 15-20 m/s during the day. An extreme fire danger will persist across the region, in Shymkent and Turkestan.
Karaganda region
In the Karaganda region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the north and east. During the day in the south and east, gusts of north and northeast wind will reach 15-20 m/s. In the west, north and east of the region, as well as in Karaganda, an extreme fire danger will persist.
Ulytau region
In the Ulytau region and Zhezkazgan, an extreme fire danger will also persist.
Zhetisu region
In the mountainous areas of the Zhetisu region, rain is expected, with thunderstorms during the day. In the area of the Alakol lakes, gusts of northwest wind will reach 15-20 m/s. An extreme fire danger will persist across the region and in Taldykorgan.

In the Atyrau region, rain and thunderstorms are forecast at night in the west and north, while light rain with thunderstorms is expected during the day in the north and south. At night and in the morning, fog will cover the west and north of the region. In Atyrau, light rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day, and an extreme fire danger will persist.
Kostanay region
In the Kostanay region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the west and north.
Abai region
In the west and southwest of the Abai region, rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day, and fog at night and in the morning in the north and center. During the day in the east and center, gusts of north and northeast wind will reach 15-20 m/s. A high fire danger will persist in Semey.
East Kazakhstan region
In the East Kazakhstan region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north and east. During the day in the west and south, the northwest and north wind will intensify to 15-20 m/s. In the southeast of the region, an extreme fire danger will persist.
Mangystau region

In the west, south, northeast and center of the Aktobe region, an extreme fire danger will persist.
