By July 2028, more than 2,600 small rural schools in the country will be covered by the artificial intelligence introduction project. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A pilot project to introduce artificial intelligence in small schools was launched in the country on September 1 this year. The pilot project covers the country's first 10 schools located in Pavlodar and Kyzylorda regions.
Within the framework of the project, more than 50 students in the 4th grade were organized for instruction in mathematics, digital literacy, Kazakh language and Russian language.
The project will be expanded in stages:
- 01in January 2027, the number of participating schools is planned to increase to at least 50;
- 02in April, to 440;
- 03by July 2028, about 2,600 small schools in the country will be fully covered.
The educational process is built on a hybrid model using distance learning technologies. At the same time, in rural classrooms, local teachers help children master the material together during the lesson, while monitoring students' activity and participation is carried out using interactive clickers and digital tools.
At the same time, training continues for teachers, school principals and specialists of district education departments.
