Starting January 2027, all clinics in Kazakhstan will admit first-time patients regardless of whether they have medical insurance. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the draft order, from January 2027 Kazakhstanis will be able to receive basic medical care upon their first visit to a clinic, regardless of their status in the compulsory health insurance system.
List of basic services
The basic services specified in the draft order:
- 01general blood and urine tests;
- 02measurement of blood pressure and key health indicators;
- 03ECG;
- 04pulse oximetry;
- 05fluorography;
- 06certain functional studies;
- 07ultrasound examination of abdominal organs and kidneys.
Informing patients
Another innovation concerns informing patients. As noted in the draft order, using algorithmic systems integrated with medical information systems, automated calls to citizens are envisaged.
"This will allow for more prompt informing of patients and automate part of the organizational processes in clinics," the draft order says.
Thus, the new procedure will allow citizens to receive basic examinations and tests upon their first visit to a clinic, regardless of their medical insurance status.
