In the 2026-2027 academic year, school holidays will be shortened by four days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Education has approved the holiday calendar for the new academic year. In the first quarter, students will have 7-day holidays as before: from October 26 to November 1.
In the second quarter, winter holidays will last 14 days: from December 28 to January 10.
In the third quarter, spring holidays will be shortened: previously they lasted 11 days, now they will be only 7 days (March 22–28).
Additional holidays for first-graders remain unchanged: they will have another week off in February.
