According to the Prime Minister's instructions, a working group under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population conducted outreach in the regions at territorial departments to consult on possible issues. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The ministry, together with local executive bodies, is conducting additional checks on households classified as having a high level of well-being.
To date, as a result of sending SMS messages, more than 200 citizens have stated they will refuse to receive benefits because they do not need social assistance.
"In this direction, the ministry presented a new project of a service for voluntary refusal of benefits, which will be introduced into the eGov Mobile application. With its help, citizens with a high standard of living who receive social benefits will be able to voluntarily refuse payments online without visiting government agencies," the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population said.
The head of government instructed the ministry, together with interested state bodies, to accelerate the connection of second-tier banks to the "Digital Family Map".
The functionality for accepting applications for social support measures and their assignment was launched on the Unified Digital Platform in June of this year.
Since then, more than 55,000 applications totaling over 2.5 billion tenge have been received through it.
Of these, applications worth more than 1.8 billion tenge were reviewed and approved.
Currently, the platform is being integrated with the "Digital Family Map".
