Rescuers in the mountains of Almaty provided assistance to an 18-year-old tourist. The girl injured her leg while descending a route near the Big Almaty Lake. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident occurred at an altitude of about 2300 meters above sea level. The girl, born in 2008, injured her leg during the descent and could not continue on her own.
After receiving the call, rescuers from the Almaty Emergency Department Rescue Service promptly arrived at the scene. They found the victim, provided first aid, and safely evacuated her to the Aiusai visitor center.
After the descent, the tourist was handed over to an ambulance team for further examination.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that a 16-year-old tourist was bitten by a snake near the Kolsai Lakes in the Almaty region. Rescuers provided first aid and sent her to a medical facility.
