The National Security Committee shared information on measures to combat illegal migration in the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the committee, in June 2026, 15 foreign nationals were detained in the Aktobe, Almaty, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Turkistan regions for attempting to illegally cross the State Border.
Overall, since the beginning of the year, 100 offenders have been detained, and 25 channels of illegal migration have been eliminated. A total of 178 criminal cases have been initiated under Article 392 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Border Service of the NSC of Kazakhstan reminds that criminal liability is provided for illegal crossing of the State Border and aiding such actions, and also calls on citizens to strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
