Storm warning issued in 15 regions of Kazakhstan for July 17

RSE "Kazhydromet" issued a storm warning for July 17 in 15 regions of Kazakhstan. In several regions, forecasters predict extreme heat, thunderstorms, hail, squally wind, dust storms, and continuing extreme fire danger. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

In the east of the region, a northwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s is expected. High fire danger persists across the region, and extreme fire danger in the north, south, and east. In Taldykorgan, high fire danger also persists.

At night, light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the north and east. In the southeast, winds will strengthen to 15–20 m/s during the day. High fire danger persists in the south and east, extreme in the north and west. In Karaganda, high fire danger also persists.

During the day, the air will warm up to 35–39 degrees. Extreme fire danger persists in the north of the region, high in other areas. High fire danger is also expected in Almaty and Konayev.
