At a meeting chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlbek Nalibayev, the issue of modernization and reconstruction of 124 railway stations was considered. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the government, 71 railway stations have been commissioned to date. Work on the remaining facilities continues in accordance with approved schedules.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to meeting deadlines for construction and modernization, quality of work, and strengthening coordination between state bodies and contractors.
Nurlbek Nalibayev instructed relevant state bodies to meet deadlines for commissioning railway facilities and to strengthen control over the quality of construction and installation works.
