Storm warnings issued for October 12 in 16 regions of Kazakhstan

Storm warnings have been issued for Monday, October 12, in 16 regions of Kazakhstan. According to Kazhydromet, heavy rain, thunderstorms, fog and gusty winds are expected in some regions. High and extreme fire danger also persists. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Mangystau Region

In the Mangystau Region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the west and south. During the day, the east and southeast wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s in the west and center. High fire danger persists in the central districts. In Aktau, fog is expected at times at night, and wind gusts of up to 15-18 m/s during the day.

Atyrau Region

In the Atyrau Region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the east. High fire danger persists across the region, and extreme fire danger in the south. An extreme fire danger warning is also in effect in Atyrau.

West Kazakhstan Region

In the West Kazakhstan Region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the west, north and east, including in Uralsk. During the day, southeast wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in the west of the region. High fire danger persists in the west, south and east.

Aktobe Region

In the Aktobe Region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north, as well as in Aktobe. High fire danger persists in the east of the region, and extreme fire danger in the west, south and center.

Karaganda Region

In the Karaganda Region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the west, north and east. A similar warning is in effect for Karaganda.

Ulytau Region

In the Ulytau Region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west, north and east. Extreme fire danger persists in the west, south and center. The same warning is in effect in Zhezkazgan.

Akmola Region

In the Akmola Region, fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the west. The southwest wind will change to northwest, and during the day its gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in the west, north and east. Wind strengthening to 15-20 m/s is also expected in Kokshetau.

North Kazakhstan Region

In the North Kazakhstan Region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west. During the day, southwest wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in the west, north and east. The same wind is forecast in Petropavlovsk.

Kostanay Region

In the Pavlodar Region, fog is expected at night and in the morning in the south, east and center, as well as in Pavlodar. During the day, the southwest wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s in the west and north of the region.

Zhetisu Region

In the Zhetisu Region, rain and thunderstorms are forecast during the day in the east and in the mountains. Fog is expected in the mountainous areas. In the area of the Alakol lakes, northeast wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s, at times 23-28 m/s. High fire danger persists in the east of the region.

Turkestan Region

In the Turkestan Region, rain, thunderstorms and fog are expected in the west, south, mountainous and foothill areas, with heavy rain in places. In these areas, northeast wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s. In Shymkent and Turkestan, rain, thunderstorms, fog and wind strengthening to 15-20 m/s are forecast at times.

Zhambyl Region

In the Zhambyl Region, rain is expected in the south and in the mountains, and thunderstorms during the day. Fog and wind up to 15-20 m/s are forecast in the mountainous areas. The southwest wind will change to northwest. Rain is expected in Taraz, with thunderstorms possible during the day.
