Kazakhstan has announced the timeline for vaccinating 11-year-old boys against the human papillomavirus (HPV). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The government has drafted a three-year budget plan. According to it, measures to vaccinate boys against HPV will begin next year.
In addition, a new type of screening for the prevention of lung cancer will be introduced in a pilot mode in 4 regions.
It is worth noting that in 2025, Kazakhstan began vaccinating schoolgirls against HPV. Mazhilis deputies had proposed administering this vaccine to boys as well.
