Storm warnings were issued in 14 regions of Kazakhstan for October 11 due to fog, strong wind and high fire danger. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Strong wind in northern regions
In the North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions, as well as in Kokshetau, daytime wind gusts are expected to reach 15–20 m/s. Fog is forecast at night and in the morning in the North Kazakhstan, Akmola and Kostanay regions. Strong wind is also expected in the Kostanay region.

Strong gusts in the south and east
In the Turkistan region, a northeast wind with gusts up to 15–20 m/s is expected in the north and in mountainous areas. In the Zhambyl region, wind of the same strength is forecast in the northeast and in mountainous areas. In the Zhetisu region, daytime northeast wind gusts near the Alakol lakes may reach 17–22 m/s.
Areas with high fire danger
High fire danger is forecast in the west, south and east of the West Kazakhstan region, in the east of the Aktobe region, in the east of the Zhetisu region, in the center of the Mangystau region and in the south of the Kostanay region.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that warming is expected in Kazakhstan on October 10-12: in the south and in the Kyzylorda region, daytime temperatures will reach +23…+28 degrees, and nighttime frosts will retreat.
