By the end of the year, a multifactor study of 105 hydraulic structures will be conducted. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Local executive bodies plan to inspect 69 structures in municipal ownership. Meanwhile, RSE "Kazvodkhoz" plans to conduct a multifactor study of 35 hydraulic structures in republican ownership and the interstate hydroelectric complex "Dostyk".

The multifactor study is carried out to monitor and ensure the safety of water management facilities. Timely inspections allow identifying structures in need of repair, as well as preventing the risk of accidents and dam failures. Based on the study results, a safety declaration for the facility is developed and sent for independent expertise.

Within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Water Sector for 2024-2028, a total of 557 hydraulic structures are planned to undergo multifactor studies. According to the Water Code, such studies must be conducted every five years to ensure the safe operation of hydraulic structures. This period is calculated from the date of registration of the previous inspection, said Saghi Utelov, director of the department for the development of water management structures of the ministry.

Recall that in 2024, instead of the planned 82 structures, multifactor studies were conducted on 84 hydraulic structures. And in 2025, a total of 56 hydraulic structures were inspected, including 28 in municipal and 28 in republican ownership.
