Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev named the leaders to be appointed after the new Constitution comes into force. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Article 95 of the Constitution adopted in the referendum, the heads of 6 bodies must be appointed within two months. Among them are the chairman of the National Security Committee, the Prosecutor General, the head of the National Bank, the chairman of the Supreme Court, the Human Rights Ombudsman, and the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Sarsembayev said in an interview with a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent.
The chairman and judges of the Constitutional Court, as well as the chairman and members of the Central Election Commission, will be appointed within two months after the opening of the first session of the Kurultai. The minister also announced when the Vice President of Kazakhstan will be appointed.
